As Microsoft Teams becomes more developed over time and businesses start to enjoy the significant amount of internal and external collaboration that is on offer, we take a look at call costs and the associated technologies required to use Microsoft Teams as your business telephone solution or ‘PBX’ as it is more widely known.

What is Microsoft Teams?

Teams is Microsoft’s own attempt at building a Unified Communications platform that encompasses and really centralises around employee engagement and collaboration.  Users can share documents within specific ‘Teams’ and invite and remove both internal and external users.

Teams is a one-stop shop for Video Conferencing, Instant Messaging and Screen Sharing and if your business couples this with more stringent Security settings available from some of the Office and Microsoft 365 licences available it makes for a very strong method of communicating in areas of high compliance.

Teams is also a very basic ‘PBX’ in that it can make calls, however it was launched early and Microsoft is playing catch up to more established PBX providers such as BroadCloud, leaving the market open for providers such as Curatrix to develop solutions such as Trident-Teams to enable a much more in-depth and controllable Teams dialling platform.

What is Trident Teams?

What are the benefits of Trident-Teams?

The obvious benefit, for the most part, is that Trident Teams is based on call concurrency and not a per-user cost.  This means that typically, Trident Teams will be a third less per month than a typical 25 Man Microsoft based Teams deployment.

Cloud PBX – £6 per user – £150.00 per month

Bundle – £9.10 per user – £227.50 per month

Monthly Total – £377.50 per month
